Well Cum Tank

WELL CUM TANK is a new concept in water storage system. Water from rain water or other sources can be stored in the well as a storage tank. If we require normal water from ground water table, we could allow the flow to the well by regulating the control valve fixed at the bottom by manual operation.

The normal well having sufficient depth is prepared with HDPE liner tube system. The diameter of the liner is wide enough to touch smoothly on the wall of the well when the well is filled with water. The bottom end of liner tube is tied securely by nylon rope to the valve system. This joint is just below the inlet holes in the valve pipe. The bottom area of well inside the liner is configured with small nylon net bags filled with charcoal, river sand, stone etc. These bags act as filters to the water entering through the valve system. Also these bags act as weights on the liner to hold it in shape of the well. The top end of liner tube is folded and fixed at the top end of well or at the inside wall of well, the point where just above the level of required water to be collected in the well.

The Well-cum-Tank is operable as the regular well, when the valve is opened, and it is converted to a water container, when the valve is closed.

Another advantageous feature using the system is that if the quality of water in the well is not good enough, by extending the length of pipe, attachable to the valve, to more depths then pure water from another water level could be drawn. When we want to clean up the water in the Well-cum-tank, just open the valve so that the water in the well goes downwards to the level of ground water.
